Sun Microsystems Inc (SUNW)

Internet portal CHINA.COM did not disappoint investors who had high hopes for the Hong Kong-based firm as its stock price tripled Tuesday following its $20 a share initial public offering. The company, which is seen as the gateway to China's Internet, raised $84 mln after pricing its deal above the increased, expected range. Heavyweights such as AMERICA ONLINE INC and SUN MICROSYSTEMS INC have stakes in the company. (Reuters 12:24 PM ET 07/13/99)
