i was brought up in ottawa, but spent most of my working life in nyc. retiring to sonoma county makes up for that.
i reciprocate your ugh about the name change to 3com. but if you've ever been to candlestick, you'll know the park itself was no winner. unlike skydome, f'rinstance.
i've often thought that people who don't know the bay area (and the location of candlestick) must think they've entered a time warp when they watch tv of a giants game in august with the crowd wearing parkas.
