Gary, I know those after hours trades often don't reflect reality. The problem is, they are picked up and widely reported as the stock's closing price.

I have NO problem with them being reported. I just think there ought to be a requirement that the day's "closing price" be reported as the last transaction during normal business hours of the exchange it's listed on.

Further, I believe all references to after hours prices should be clearly identified -- "Intel finished the day at 120. In after hours trading, 1500 shares were traded at 115."

I write to enforcement@sec.gov about this a couple of times a month.
