Matt, Check out Carl Johnson's column at techweb.cmp.com or a tech letter writer's column in Barrons at barrons.com They disagree that AMAT and other semi-equips will exceed estimates. AMAT is in a cyclical industry, and its PE will vary during the cycle. In fact, the PE could get very large as earnings approach zero. I don't know what will happen, but investors need to be aware of what could happen. Cary
