FWIW, I use Quick & Reilly for my online broker. Not the cheapest, not the fastest, but they are NEVER down (knock on wood) and answer the phone quick, at least at my office they do.
Not recommended for fast trading, but for longer positions they do fine. And the thing I like best is they don't make you re-log in after inactivity. Also, they'll let you set sell stops on nasdaq stocks and options trading, although I don't do options, yet.
Of course I pay a bit more, but what is the value of not having connect problems with your broker when the adrenaline is surging? To me, it means a LOT!! I have enough priorities and screaming at the damn phone or computer is not up there on the list. <GGGG>
Just my 2 cents.
Now, I'm looking for RT quotes and charts.
Oh, and I just love to camp!
