Hi Paul,

Well....I picked up some Jan 7 1/2 calls a few days ago, just for grins. I haven't done much with options so I'm staying pretty conservative until I get a little more experience. I picked up 15/16 on 15 contracts. Nice pop for a 2 day $3000 investment. It's got me thinking, which is probably bad for me. I always get in trouble when I confuse luck with skill.

On my regular shares, I'm going to wait a while and see what happens. If it breaks through resistance at 10 1/2 it could go into the 11s without too much trouble.

I don't know if "investor confidence" is a reasonable explanation, maybe we should ask Joe.

A Hewlett Packard buy out? I wonder if anyone remembers Novell is not for sale. When it comes to mergers the answer is "no comment".

I think it has enough legs to run for another day or two. If I sell I'll want to buy it back at a lower price and I don't see a clear advantage yet. The volume dropped off to almost nothing when the MMs pushed it below 9. It's way overdue for a serious jump. I'm more tempted to sit tight and leave it alone until earnings. I'm starting to think 15 by the end of November. With new products beginning to ship at the beginning of Q1 and good numbers for Q4, 15 is possible. To be perfectly honest, I really don't have a clue what to do next, maybe I should call the psychic hot line or something.

Regards,

Don
