<<my recollection is that MRVC owns 45% of NAC at the current time. (This is enough to make an investor feel very good when NAC does an IPO)>>
Yes - and they got that 45% for $3 million, about 18 months time, and the effort to find second round financing for NAC.
Not bad, eh?
And they are getting a second major benefit, one that will take some time to be seen. That is the chance to work with people like KPCB, JNPR, etc (and others for HC, CW and Zuma that we don't know about yet) that really know how to market these technologies and do proper P/R. In the long run this is as important as almost anything else.
We are still looking foreward to:
IPOs for OA, HC, NAC, CW, Zuma and ultimately AO (All Optical)
Contracts for Red-C, Linux Router (OSR-8400), Aranea, Metrofusion (and whatever else is cooking), Fiber Driver, Zuma, and additional triplexor customers. Remember that carrier contracts not only will provide higher earnings but good VISIBILITY for future quarters as well.
Additional partnering with more major players- I would like to see more big names come into the picture.
New analysts initiating coverage - hopefully some bigger names too.
We are likely to see SEVERAL of these this year. And with each one, we should move to higher levels.
The next two years could be VERY exciting! |
