There's an article titled "Bandwidth Quest" in the April 7, 1997 issue of InformationWeek. In this article, there's a graph, citing TeleChoice as the source, which projects the following North American DSL installations: 600,000 by 1998, 1,100,000 by 1999, and 2,600,000 by 2000.
