Delivers Scalable, Robust Development Platforms for Enterprise and Service Provider Applications

With Brooktrout's support for Nuance software, developers of applications such as hands-free dialing, voice portals and automated attendants now have platforms that are scalable, flexible and robust enough to meet all of their speech recognition development needs.

Accessing information via voice, rather than entering numbers on a telephone keypad is quickly becoming a preferred method of interaction for network applications. For example, rather than entering information via a telephone keypad to navigate through the many-tiered menus of options when they call their bank, credit card company, insurance company, etc., customers can now simply use their voice to directly access the information they need. In applications such as voice portals, speech recognition allow users to access Internet-based information, such as restaurant listings and driving directions using their own voice over standard or mobile telephones.
Brooktrout Technology provides the platforms and technical features necessary to voice-enable these types of applications, including on-board echo cancellation with an industry-leading 32 millisecond tail length, which provides toll quality voice across the network. In addition, full-duplex channels enable voice barge-in, allowing users to interrupt prompts by voice to quickly activate a menu item or to make a choice.

The Brooktrout Technology Vantage Series provides developers with a flexible, robust platform for building voice-processing applications. This family of ISA- and PCI-bus cards supports systems of any size.
