Hello Julie, I hope that what scientific background I may have (which is not all that extensive I assure you) can help me to evaluate some of the therapeutic candidates out there.
I think this "edge" (assuming a ton of variables work out in ones favour) does help to eliminate some bad moves (but not all). But thanks for the compliment! :o)
Some comments about your post: Brad (who also posts here) is very knowledgable about this company and will hopefully correct me if I am mistaken but, I believe that IDEC's secondary offering earlier this year was in part intended to finance some of the production facilities you refer to. Also it is my opinion that Genentech, which is in a partnership agreement with IDEC as it touches the development of C2B8, is helping to produce the same already. I believe that the responsibility for the production of C2B8 may be being shared in this sense and that we may have some quantity of C2B8 beyond what IDEC itself has produced or is at the moment producing. Again, I welcome comment from anyone on the thread who wishes to add to this thought.
I understand that recently Genentech has had some interesting things going on in production which may or may not have affected production of anything they might have been manufacturing for IDEC.
