Thank you. A few of us were discussing how sometimes an acquisition propels a stock and these guys were talking about this and that.

I rarely listen closely. But something triggered me. One person mentioned a company that performed well after they bought a company that was superior in their field. He happened to mention the Jack Welch philosophy. For whatever reason it hit me that a few hours before I read that LCOS was closing a deal on Quote.com so why not.

Serendipity, perhaps.

But I'm happy the read you have is similar; it does seem easy to read given the simplicity of the method. For a casual stock trader such as myself it helps a lot; I don't want to spend the time required to analyze every nuance. That's why I switched into Futures trading, I don't want to "think" overmuch.

Still in all I'm only half way through the book because of time constraints, so I'm looking forward to confusing the daylights out of myself on the later chapters which look to be formidable. Perhaps if God would only dump about 12 inches of snow here Friday night I could put a dent in it Saturday.
