5400 vs 7200 ATA hard drives Storage reveiw prefered the IBM 14.4 gig 7200 RPM hard drive. Cost at Pricewatch is around $480 ~ $33/gig but much faster! I would go with this before SCSI. IBM Deskstar 8.4 gig 5400 rpm costs around $210 ~ $25/gig storagereview.com click on DATABASE to compare or scroll down to read an article on either. I'm wondering if the additional money between the two would be best spent on extra RAM? Regards, S.W.
