Both the Matrox and the Diamond MPEG upgrades have been availiable since last year. When I bought a new system last year, one of my requirements was that it had to be MPEG1 hardware upgradeable. But at the time there was no availiable stock of the MPEG upgrades for Diamond or Matrox.
Since then I have not gone back to get the upgrades. No compelling reason to. Any MPEG 1 playback I do, can be handled in software. I haven't seen any compelling MM MPEG games that would need them....
Guess this means that they are not much to brag about...

However, this proves that CUBE has successfully worked and has had wins with the graphics companies in the past.
I have every expectation that these companies would at least investigate CUBE's DVD offerings.

We know that Diamond has and that resulted in a CUBE win.

BTW: did you know that ATI uses IBM MPEG hardware, I suppose that it could change...
