Hi out there in Paracelsian -Land,

I've been following PRLN & this thread for a while and today seems like a good day to come out of the Lurking Closet.
I'm long on PRLN (bought in at 3.5). My belief is that they have good Science but bad Business.
I fully agree with Bill's comments (#1791).
although I share everyone's optimism for PRLN, sometimes the hard cold world of business seems to be overlooked and I caution you
not to underestimate the powers of the pharmaceutical industry.
PRLN's survival depends on forming a strategic alliance with one of the Giants. It makes me a little uneasy that they haven't hooked up with someone. If everything looks so promising and indeed if patents can be obtained, why wouldn't one of the Big firms jump all over this.

Look at the best selling Herbal products in health food stores,
ECHINACEA (annual sales 80 miillion-see front pg article WSJ 1/20/97.) Here's an Herb that really works (in Europe, health insurance even pays for it), yet because its' public domain, the big Industry Leaders completely stay away.
I'm not trying to sound negative, I'm just trying to balance out these discussions and I do appreciate all that hard work that goes into everyone's research.
Best wishes,
Patrick
