There is one thing that concerns me with respect to KM. AXC has a commitment from Maxtor to produce drives with KM. KM adds about 30% to capacity of drives for minimual price increase. Would Maxtor not be out signing contracts with Compac, Dell, AST, Etc. to have their drives put in the boxes when they are ready. I would think that word of AXC would get out this way. Some have said that Maxtor in essence wants to spring them on they market, they can't do this as KM is not a stand alone product. If Maxtor is having trouble selling the drives to the box man. this might explain the downdraft in the share price.
