French News Agency Blames Clinton 9-11 Failure on Bush
By Tammy on September 11
Rep Curt Weldon said yesterday he now has proof that Able Danger, during the Clinton admin, identified Mohammad Atta 13 times as a man planning something prior to September 11th.
I've placed blame for that tragic even in the lap of Bill Clinton for not only doing virtually nothing in his 8 years as president to stop bin Laden, but actually hindering the efforts to stop terrorism against Americans.
Weldon's new information confirms once again that the Clinton White House and lawyers working for the administration blocked efforts by Able Danger to inform the FBI about the impending risk and danger of Mohammad Atta, as well as not warning the captain of the USS Cole about information received in Yemen about that impending attack.
This further revelation about the incompentence of the Clinton administration and their culpability in 9-11 is remarkable, but the French wire service Agence France-Presse just can't have that. Take a look at their coverage:
<<< Pentagon tagged terror ringleader 13 times pre-9/11: lawmaker
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A secret US military intelligence unit had terrorist ringleader Mohammed Atta in its cross-hairs before the September 11, 2001 attacks 13 times, a congressman claimed, citing the unit's records...
The House representative has pressured Congress and the Pentagon to investigate "Able Danger" since August, arguing that government officials became aware of Atta's ties to Al-Qaeda earlier than admitted.
Weldon said he now had proof there had been several attempts to transfer the information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but they were blocked by lawyers for the administration of President George W. Bush.
"We have information that will be testified to under oath that there were attempts to transfer information to the FBI on at least three occasions, and on all three of those occasions in September of 2000, lawyers within the administration denied those meetings from taking place," he said. >>>
The problem with this, of course, is that the administration in question that blocked Able Danger's requests to transfer to Atta information to the FBI was the Clinton administration, not the GWB White House. In fact, this stonewalling of Able Danger by Clinton was done two months prior to the election itself. GWB did not take office until January 2001.
I'm not entirely sure French "journalists" are ignorant of this. To this day because they want everything to be president Bush's fault they will simply state it that way. The problem is, many around the world who rely on the AFP will take that statement in the middle of the story as a fact, furthering the creation of a false history and whitewashing Clinton's horrific passivity, cowardice, political correctness and even enabling of the terrorists among us during his presidency.
