Thanks for the set-top news from Europe . Sounds promising for the deployment of set-tops with CUBE silicon. I have moved an AViA win to the top of my wish list for CUBE's and our mutual fortunes. With the consolidation of silicon due in the next generation it's dawned on me that there are only going to be major winners, and loosers, and little chance for the status quo of having a portion of a set-top. Set-tops are at the point of winner take all. Since Europe has adopted 1394 for the 3rd gen set-tops, and the US is poised to do the same, I hope that CUBE/ Adaptec get FireWire looking good and aboard AViA2 soon.
