Just watched the police give a field sobriety test to a guy at the house next to my office. They got to the heel-toe thing and I said, "this guy's going in to be a guest of the county." He was pretty obviously drunk. Sure enough, they were cuffing him just as I broke off my observation. I thought about sticking my head out the door and yelling, "you know, they can't make you do that," but thought better of it. I'd rather be on the good side of the police in town instead of the good side of the dirtbag who lives next door (particularly since one of my biking buddies is an undercover cop).
