No I dont think you are missing the point. In the market we currently have value or anything inherently linked to it has become totally subservient to mass psychology and thus mood. Sentiment towards this sector is still negative after the BreX fiasco and no area has been able to pull the sentiment out of its hangover be it Voiseys bay, alberta diamonds or the LaRoche/nuinsco thing. In the defence of Intrepid they do not run a hype machine but fall into what Kaiser aptly calls a toiling geologist model. The best thing is that this toiling geologist is delivering on his deposit models and is pulling some big time numbers. It is my opinion that he has yet to get to the really interesting ground yet which is the former producing area in Guatemala called Mataquesquintla.(25% chesbar) The honduras ground bordering the greenstone San Andreas mine is also looking good with hydrothermal extensions running as high as .3 opt Au. So I reccomend patience. These guys are frugal with the cash and poised in a sentiment change to refill the treasury with some lucrative JV's as they hold more good ground than they can possibly do justice to. In the end it will prove to be money in the bank. This current volume is just what the doctor ordered for a little mini bulk sample of stock to top up the old account. As the worm slowly turns and he always does look for good things from Laurie Curtis and the Intrepid boys.
