Shaw Communications has reached an agreement to launch Global Television's six new digital channels in September, 2001. The agreement covers the distribution of these new channels on Shaw's cable systems and Star Choice's direct-to-home (DTH) satellite service. The services include Mystery, MenTV, Xtreme Sports, Fox Sports World Canada, Lonestar and DejaView.
"We are delighted to offer our customers this strong lineup of new digital channels that will appeal to a wide range of viewers," said Peter Bissonnette, president of Shaw Communications. "We are continuing to expand and enhance our digital channel offerings and we expect to announce our complete lineup of new digital services for this September, very shortly," he added.
