I appreciate your interest. You are right, there are two basic technologies in use right now. They are termed swith "dependent", much like L.A. cellular, no special phone is necessary but you do need a phone and the phone will only work in the switching area, for example your LA cellular phone will not work anywhere else in the country. A switch "independent" phone is a specially designed phone with the intelligence in the handset and can be used anywhere in the country. This phone has no limitations and is not much more expensive than the typical motorola phone you would have to buy anyway if you don't sign a longterm cellular contract with the carrier. Because Cancall is a re-seller in most of its locations, it can offer the best of both worlds to the "credit challenged". Low competitive pricing on a non-restricted phone. Big differences, which would you rather own? Cancall has its new web site up now at www.cancall.com, check it out. The buying opportunity right now is extremely timely. Cancall is slowly making a transition to offering a full-line of pre-paid products utilizing its new Link technology. Til next time.
