SE,

On the futures newsgroup there is an ongoing discussion of Larry, his methods of trading, drawdown and of course his returns. Here are two pastes I found of interest!

nextrade!

Larry Williams has validated account statements to show that he turned ONE $10,000 account into $1MM. What was later disclosed through the grapevine was that Williams had a BUNCH of $10,000 accounts that didn't do so well. In one sense he controlled his risk by putting up only $10,000 in each account (these were actually his client accounts) and when they were gone, he would bet the farm on the next $10,000 account. Somewhere along the way he caught some big moves and parlayed that ONE account into $1MM. This talk was disclosed to one of my friends, William Eng. He is a trader and author who is well connected
with the trading business.

If this is true - so what? At his seminars, Larry makes no secret of the fact
that the risk levels he trades - as much as 20% per trade - are not for
everyone, and can result in some serious drawdowns and require a relatively
large account to trade without blowing up. They are - as he has proven
several times throughout his career - also capable of producing some
incredible returns.
