Your explanation helped. Besides, now I can try to use terms like 'rotaional latency' at work..LOL,
You brought up some very important points though. Faster may not always be better, and there can be large differences between brands of equipment.
I am currently looking at DELL, as I was told they use better hardware. What brand(s) are the best, and will a CDRWDVD cover most applications?
