As an aside, I think the inherent dynamics and manipulation of depth data makes it useful for only two things:

1) Showing whether or not there is enough interest in the stock to create a real market -- stocks with very thin depth on any side indicate a lack of interest in the company.

2) For picking specific intra-day entry or exit spots once a trade decision has been made.
