David Jamichael Daniels, 22, alleged shooter

For a group of students and friends, a spring break party at a rental house turned into a shooting rampage. According to Panama City Beach, Florida, police officials, David Jamichael Daniels, 22, of Mobile, Alabama, opened fire at a spring break party last night shooting seven people, three of the people shot were students at Alabama A&M.

According to police the names of the victim’s were:

-Kearria Freed, 20, who was shot in the head

-Devanta Moore, 21, who was shot in the chest

-Henton Franklin, 22, who was shot in the side

-Jacole Young, 22, who was shot in the back three times

-Kelli Curry, 21, who was shot in the leg

-Tykeria Ethridge, 22, who was shot in the neck and shoulder

-Anesia Powell, 20,was shot in the left arm, chest, and knee

Freed, Curry and Powell are students at Alabama A&M University and were in town for spring break. According to witnesses, three victims were found in the home, one in front of the house, one in the median of the street, and two across the street from the home. Even though the shootings occurred on Saturday, the next morning a new group of spring break visitors moved into the rental home with no fear of the crime. Spring break in Panama City Beach is a popular destination, with an estimated 6,000,000 visitors annually for the small town with a population of around 12,000. The shooter faces charges of seven counts of attempted murder and is jailed awaiting an initial court appearance.
