Anindo,

Early indications are that LU will be safe. The ADTN report indicates
that the RBOC are still buying and that outlook is positive going
forward. This demand on the edges of the infrastructure should translate
into demand on the back-bone. The one area of weakness may be
wireless as indicated by the TQNT earnings report. TQNT
supplies to NT and they reported that their contract has
been pushed out 6 to 9 months. LU has
a billion dollar backlog in wireless though. The key will be
whether they will be able to replace this going forward. Short
term they look fine as Clint has mentioned. The TLAB earnings report
suggest there is strength in the LEC's too.

The XYLN report suggest that networking is not as weak as previously
thought. LU does about 1 billion dollars in networking each year.
