taxman, I do not disagree with any of your points.

My concerns, however, are focused on the "sentiment" of the market with regards to DELL stock. It's one of those intangibles that if any of us could figure out, we would be billionares.

But the fact remains that DELL is "PERCEIVED" to have missed their number for the first time that anyone can remember, and that blemish is something that may or may not take 6 months to shake off, regardless of the performance. I may be wrong as this market is unpredictable, but it is a fact that DELL's reputation on the street is not what it was two months ago.
