Why? Their K12 math is better than ours.

It isn't because their teachers are inherently better. Perhaps they have some teaching methods we could learn from. Perhaps our students are lazier than theirs. Perhaps their students are just smarter than ours, a la "The Bell Curve". It isn't a subject I purport to be an expert on. But it makes absolutely no sense to import Indian teachers.

I would say, however, that the notion shoots a hole in the theory that throwing money at the schools solves, or even helps, in turning out exceptional students.
