No, CLinton wanted Edwards at first. Coached him and helped him. When Edwards didn't take off but DEan did. then the Clintons urged in Clark to stop Dean. And looks like he's about to do that in New Hampshire along with Kerry in Iowa.

Also, the Gore endorsement helped Dean for about 2 days then he slid 40% in Iowa. Clinton endorsed Grey Davis and he kept sliding. So much for endorsements. The people will decide this year. Democracy at work. That is bad news BTW for Bush. Money may not count either. Dean has tons of money and look at what happened.
