But nowhere in that post to I accuse either an individual or a country of anything wrong. You inaccurately accuse me of doing this and then when I call you on it you respond that it's a waste of time and say I am just playing with semantics. Maybe I took your comment too seriously (I've been accused with some justification of doing that a lot) but neither the inital statements nor your follow ups had a <g> or a :) and neither one looked like a joke.

First, you are claiming support for your argument because the UK supported military intervention in Iraq. It was not the UK but essentially one man who happened to be their PM and a small minority of the population. So for someone like me who was opposed to the intervention, you statement is, in affect, an indictment of an entire nation. You are claiming that their's was a particular position when it was not. It was the position of just a few, giving little support to your argument.

Secondly, I did not bother to point out that there was another flaw in your premise. France was as equally involved in the Middle East, having a strong presence in Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon and Syria, as the UK. And France was diametrically opposed to the intervention. So much for the key premise in your argument.

Thirdly, the fact that it took nearly ten posts to get to this point is another indication of the game playing quality of your posts of late.
