I believe that quote encompasses far too broad elements to effectively determine anything at all. I do think the problems that have manifested in the cities today may appear to be racially motivated, but the problem is deeper than race. The problem is people like most things living and inanimate material as well take the course of least resistance. The dependency on handouts from government give people a false sense of entitlement rather than a sense of independence and achievement.

Human beings need obstacles to thrive. You can see it in the faces of toddlers as they learn to stand and walk. Once you take the need to achieve from them they begin to expect reward for nothing at all. Mix that with individuals who use these people as a voting block for politicians or as in Sharpton's case a rallied threat used to extort and you have a sad case of large groups of wild people who feel entitled to take whatever they please and use any excuse to exercise lawless activity.

In the case of what we see today these "entitled" people are being whipped up by politicians, racial extortionists and socialists all for their individual agendas.

The only way to break the cycle is to end the entitlements. People respond to need and will find work when the teat runs dry. End or dramatically slow immigration both legal and all illegal immigration and jobs will be more plentiful.

Obama, Holder, Sharpton et al are all playing with matches, lighting fires and pretending they aren't the problem. They react to the very violence they caused by pointing the finger elsewhere and sticking their hands in the pockets of others for political and or personal gain.
