I tend to generally agree with what you say. However, I think that today Iraq should be a political solution instead of military. We are past a military solution.

The cheering of the downing of a UK helicopter in Basra is exactly the opposite of what Cheney told us that the Western forces would be greeted as liberators and be showered with flowers.

We hear war proponents saying that the US troop withdrawl would leave a vacuum and cause more chaos. If we leave Arab forces in there, then the possibility of chaos after US troop withdrawl diminishes considerably.

It is time for a political solution. This administration needs to pursue that, IMHO.
