I think it's a significant development. If SUNW's goal is to control Java, and I believe it is, this is bad news for them. Should they try to turn the screws, HWP has the option of using their own Java base in all their products.

Sounds like HWP is learning to play the "embrace and extend" game. I'm glad to see them work toward controlling their own destiny rather than becoming unilaterally dependent on either SUNW or MSFT.
