Datametrics Systems Launches E-Business and Web Server Monitoring And Reporting Tool

New VisualPulse Software Provides Enterprise-Wide Network Reports for MS Windows 95/98/NT/2000, Linux and Solaris platforms
FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Datametrics© Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Zitel Corporation (Nasdaq: ZITL - news), today announced its new VisualPulse(TM) product. This new product enables monitoring of specific websites, servers, and network nodes anywhere over the Internet, across a corporate Intranet or Extranet -- or any combination of these -- visually providing realtime and historical reports on network latency and packet loss.

A server-based product complemented by the Company's other ``visual' tools, the VisualPulse product is targeted at service providers, Web-hosting companies, Applications Service Providers (ASPs), and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who need a fast, visual way to see how their service offering is running, and where problems occur. The new product can be integrated with the Company's VisualRoute(TM) Server product, instantly providing visual traceroute information to the servers or sites being monitored.

``With the rapid growth of ASPs, and numerous ISPs, offering similar services, the questions on customers' minds are 'How do you verify your service levels?' and 'How do you prove to your customers that you are providing the promised performance?' Our VisualPulse product was designed to answer these questions, and more, by allowing service providers and customers to instantly see realtime and historical performance levels,' stated Julian Palmer, CTO of Datametrics Systems.

Edward Bursk, V.P. of Worldwide Marketing for the Company, continued, ``If acquisition and retention of customers, and customer satisfaction are your focus, our VisualPulse and VisualRoute products are key to your success. You can immediately see the impact of network changes, upgrades, link or server problems, plus see the effect of product promotions and launches in realtime -- vital tools for E-Business in Internet time.'

In addition to the product's business applications, individual customers can also use a personal version of the product to monitor their service providers, favorite shopping and music sites, and more. ``No more guesswork in terms of how long the line at the cyber-mall is,' added Bursk.

Pricing and Availability

Available immediately, pricing for VisualPulse for Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000 starts at $99.95 (single copy, 5-monitored elements, list price).
