"Layoffs mean relief at Apple" article, in the following site, tells
me that Apple is really generous to its employees. However, this
expense will be paid by investors eventually. I have been with IBM, MCI and
have been through with layoffs, but severance pays are far less than Apple's.

Usually, the industrial standard is: 1 year service equals 2 weeks pay;
In this sever situation Apple is now, it still considers as one of the
most generous company in the whole world.

As long as there is plenty of money left in the pot, let's take out and
enjoy so you (layoffs) will not complain of the company executives' greedy.

California and Ohio teachers' retirement funds will contribute this
generous payment.
