CobaltBlue...
Hi! Nice town you have there. Well my aunt sent me this cookbook and shes 70. BTW my 2 aunts names are Alma and LaMerl so doesnt that just paint a picture for you? Anyway she just buys any book she finds I think in the bookstore. I dont think this is a well known book or anything, its called "The art of Creole Cookery". I picked the recipe because it has sherry in it but it is too bland, well you could kind of tell that from the ingredients, I think this is kind of the old style bisque... next time Ill look for something with cayenne pepper in it.

BTW if you can recommend a cookbook please do.

1/2 c shrimp (or crab)
3 T butter
2 T green celery tops minced
1 T onion grated
2 T flour
1/3 c hot water
3 c milk
1 t salt
pinch or 2 nutmeg and pepper
2 T sherry

Saute celery/onion, add shrimp or crab until shrimp turn red. Blend in flour, hot water and milk. Bring mixture to a boil, remove from heat and add sherry.
