Precisely where in there do you say anything about Al Qaeda. Your statement Tench was responding to is a flat out lie. Saddam ruled through terrorism, and supported many terrorist groups. Al Qaeda may or may not be one of them, but to say there is no connection between Saddam and terrorism is a flat out lie, and you know it.
Hello! Al Qaeda committed the 9/11 act. Therefore, they have been my number one concern. It was the NRO that brought other terrorists group into the plot. Did Saddam support the Palestinians.......sure but by your definition then nearly every leader in the ME is a supporter of terrorism. However, that is not the reason that was given by Bush to launch a pre emptive war.

If that is what it takes, to get them to stop, then we might have to. The point is, you have to start somewhere. Saddam was as good of a place to start as any, because, he didn't have any support amongst other arabs. The others will be tougher, and could mend their ways, making regime change there unnecessary. When they start telling the truth and basing their allegations on substance and not because they want to protect Bush, then I will be glad to read their articles.
