What I'm seeing ... and I'm looking at this objectively ... is that the blatantly outrageous statements the past three days have come from those on the right ... Falwell, Robertson, Coulter, Cyberkenny and his call for a Holy War, Doltan spewing forth his filth, which prompted the obscene but honest outburst by Tom C. last night.

I'm sure you will lecture me that those on my side of the aisle aren't always the voices of reason, either. Still, it disturbs me to see the far right use the tragedy far more to advance partisan causes.

I suppose the best way to look at all this is that society as a whole is more moderate and reasonable than Falwell or Rush-to-Judgment Limbo ... or those who get their kicks by posting on the SI GWB thread, a true black hole if there ever was one.
