The primary reason Wintel bests so many companies is because the mgmt of many tech entities don't realize that a business is much more than architecture and production. Marketing and execution is more important than most other categories. Books that I suggest you read, The Alchemy of Finance, Geroge Soros and Inside the Tornado, you know the author. What is the purpose of making something if you can't sell it. In the case of AMD, shat is the use fo selling something if you can't make it:-)
