Ted, It was rhetoric that got us into this mess in the first place..........anti terrorist rhetoric to be exact!

The war on terrorism only accounts for part of the budget deficit. Massive increases in social spending account for the rest. Of course Bush isn't calling any attention to that, given that he's trying to pass off big social spending programs as his own achievements.


You need to read his budget proposal more closely. The bulk of the increase is going for the war, homeland security and GOP pork. The only social program that's receiving any kind of increase is prescription drugs for seniors. Oh wait, the Nat. Endowment for the Arts is getting an $18 million increase. Whew, that's a big one.....do you think we can afford it?

WAR, PORK, WAR, PORK, WAR..........that's Bush's mantra. Hope you like it.......you voted for him!
