Ted, The West would be better off weaning itself off oil and finding alternative energy sources. That's a good idea, but I hope you don't think it's a panacea to all of the problems in the Middle East. Until we find an energy source that's better in every single way than oil, we'll be stuck with alternatives whose costs outweigh the benefits. And the Middle East will find other customers for their oil. We may up being forced into that position in any case thanks to the hubris and policies of the current administration. I'm not sure what you mean by this. How is the current administration forcing us into a position where we have to rely on alternative energy sources? Is the Middle East going to stop selling their oil to the West? Hardly. Tenchusatsu
