i just read an article that states trimtabs views stock buybacks as positive...it is only positive for the short term unless the fundamentals underneath are for real...

i cant understand the reason to buy back shares when you can use the money instead to pay back debt....
unless its just a ploy to get stock price higher...
i think stock buybacks are a likely a ruse by management to prop up stock price, not a positive sign of company health...they are not using money out of their own pockets, they are using the companies debt
if the ceo and management use their own hard earned cash to buy stock then i will be convinced the value is real
