This is fascinating.

Did you know that when you have a loved one in a 'nursing home' that the Social Security that the recipient is entitled to if they worked the number of quarters to certify for Medicare or qualifies via a spouse that the recipient of his or her SS has X AMOUNT OF DOLLARS TAKEN from the persons Social Security Check in advance.

This money that supports a tiny patient's trust fund comes directly from the person's social security that they worked for during their life. (This is not for medical but in addition to the medical)

This seems a little like you work and give your money to the government for SS.

The government then taketh away ----again subtracts from our S.S----for a 'trust fund' of little amounts.

QUESTION:

I wonder how much , if any, of this pushing money from the SS to the Nursing Homes is included in the debt described in the article.

I get the feeling that there is a lot of money being shoved from one accounting book to another by the Federal government via the manipulations with SS money.
