That's interesting, cause I read some article somewhere that said basically that: CUSIP number change, name change, symbol change(the reverse adds a "D" for 30 days), declaration of a cash or stock dividend require all short positions to cover.

I'll grant you that MMs have innovative ways to get around this covering requirement, but I still thought they had to do it.
