Daniel - Wow! What a reply. I'm going to have to read that over many more times to digest it all. There's a lot of different threads running through it. Regarding Herr Himmler's quote, he was quite correct: As we are alive, he once was. He is now dead, and we will be dead also. I guess he was quite prophetic. Regarding Parallel Processing and Intel - They have a division called the Personal Supercomputer Division (PSCD) that has been making massively parallel systems for many years. A bright guy by the name of Justin Rattner, an Intel fellow, used to run this. He may still. Intel is one of the few companies that have survived in this business - Witness Thinking Machines, MASPAR, Kendall Square Computing, etc. You might checkout Intel's WEB site to get more info on this.
