Well, I hate to say this, but after taking a solemn vow to never vote for a Republican again, I voted for one, But, it is a non-partisan office (Co. Supe), and my guy is from my town, did a really good job when he was supe 4 years ago. Back then, all us hippie types voted for the woman from the Environmental Center, and thought our cowboy would go for unlimited logging, anti-environmentalism, etc. He pleasantly surprised all of us, and we supported him when he ran for state assembly. He always voted against funding the marijuana eradication program, claiming it was a subsidy for the growers (It is; why else is a weed worth as much as gold?)He was really good for the rural folks; usually all they think about is the "big city" (5000 people) in the district. Interestingly enuf, his opponent is a fellow named Hal Wagonett, who was (still is, for reunions) a member of "It's a Beautiful Day". (And it is, too, although we are finally expecting rain, which will also be a B.D.).
Voted Green Party for gov. Davis, even if he was not suspect for his fund raising, is way to far to the right for me.
