The purpose of the split was not to make the stock more affordable to
IOMG employees, but to increase the total number of shares so that the
company can grant stock options to its employees at a decent amount of
shares. Of course, this is still a number game. There will be no difference
if they had half the amount without the split. The same game as to make
the stock "more affordable". Actually, I personally like high-priced
stocks because I pay less commissions on them, especially when buying
options.
