Sorry, which of those comments was "the difference".

Basically, I have trust and faith in my fellow citizens until they show me they are untrustworthy.

Like most of us, I engage in a certain amount of profiling, and there are groups that I will not trust until trustworthiness is convincingly demonstrated. Examples would be telemarketers, stock touts, pimps, used-car salesmen, politicians....
