you are absolutely right. And guess what Mckinley is not gonna be backward compliant( True X86 compatibility.. another big lie) B.S. will eventually catch up you..! HP's move is proof...back in 96 I sat on a non disclosure with HP, they were trying to sell me their UNIX boxes over IBM based on " Merced will be on future and it kills anything in it's path"..they were telling me then that they would have Boxes running Merced by first quarter 99 and that they are gonna be twice as fast as the IBM 620 Power PC chip( what they thought they were gonna compete with in 99..) ..the performance numbers they were giving(Merced's) was pretty close to the actual numbers IBM did deliver with the first generation 620 PowerPC( already obsolete and 2 years old now) and not twice as fast. What IBM is shipping today is about 3 times as fast as the original 620 and where is Merced ?..that is what I like to know..I would be content to see it in any way shape or format....! hahahha
