Ted, I hope you and others take the time to read that article. War used to be different; actual citizen soldiers used to perform the grunt work. Now it's out sourced to the likes of HAL, with multi-$billion dollar contracts. The number of "soldiers" in theater is greatly reduced, because the support (food, laundry, garbage collection, gas, ...) is done by civilians. So it appears the force is much smaller than in previous wars. More important, you have a huge corporate lobby which has a vested interest in the war. Coupled with a administration that bows to corporate interests at every opportunity... The article is about HAL and Chaney. You should really take the time to read it. John
